Hi:-) today I am going to talk about a topic that interests me a lot, fast fashion.

Fast fashion is the phenomenon by which clothing collections are introduced that follow the latest trends and have been designed and manufactured in an accelerated way and at a low cost. With this, the industry offers the costumer the access new clothings at affordable prices and continuously.

This trend has meant that the average use of a new garment is only seven times before being thrown away, and in the last 20 years there has been a 400% increase in the consumption of clothing on the planet. What do you think is the environmental impact of all of this? it is a lot.

There is also the Social impact that also concerns, such as labor abuse. The documentary 'The True Cost', explains the consequences of fast fashion and reveals that in the world there are about 40 million textile workers, of which 85% are women, many of them minors, earning two dollars per day in under inhuman working conditions.

That is why we should stop buying clothes in the mall or in big shops, we have to question the things we are consuming, go to fairs and buy / sell our things.

With my roommate we have talked about this kind of things for a long time, and that's why we created an instagram account to sell our clothes, in this way, we give each garment a longer life, and I think everyone should sell, recycle or give away your clothes, to fight fast fashion.
