Nothing to celebrate
While I was growing up, I began to learn different things and developed a more critical opinion about this month.
Now I don't feel September is a month of celebration. Obviously it is nice because we have a vacation week, but at the same time it is a month where the history of Chile is remembered, about the military dictatorship and the thousands of detaine-disappeared during that period.
I like to have vacations and gather together to drink with my friends, but I feel that at this time many other things that I don’t like about our society come out, such as the exaggerated consumption of meat, the rodeos (which I feel is a form of terrible torture that should be punished and should be illegal) and especially the people’s stupid patriotism.
This September 18 I will go to my home in Los Andes, I will not go to the fondas but we will make a great family party, I will see my friends from school and I will move forward with some personal projects that I have in mind and of course I will also drink wine and terremotos. Oh, and I will also read some texts that I’ve postponed.
Karla.

September it's a really weird month for us as a country and I think it's really great that u use this place to remember.

ResponderEliminarShame but true that there are so many "traditions" that make no sense, people give to much importance to certain things of the culture that should be erased.
