Special Celebration





Today I am going to talk about a special celebration that I really liked and it was really fun.

Last year my roomates and I throw a Christmas party in our apartment. It was like the 8th of december and we did it because one of my friends was going to Europe for one month and we wanted to celebrate christmas in our home.
We decorated the apartment completely, we put lights everywhere, and a friend of mine lent us his christmas tree. Our apartment is always pretty but I think that time was the most beautiful it has ever been. 
We made dinner for the three of us and a lot of Sangría (with a lot of fruit) and that was delicious. We invited about 30 people and we also made a digital invitation, they came after our dinner. 
We had a dress code with a red garment, so everyone went with red clothes, even one friend bought a red t-shirt just for the occasion. 
And we had a lot of fun, we danced a lot and we baked duchess potatoes at 3 am.
Although the next day our house was very messy and dirty and we had to spend all day cleaning, it was worth it. 
I hope we have another party this year. Maybe I would like it to be a christmas-themed costume party.

We will see.

When I was younger, I liked fondas, barbecues and I even enjoyed dancing in “del guaton loyola’s fonda”, which is very well known in Chile, and is close to where I live in Los Andes. While I was growing up, I began to learn different things and developed a more critical opinion about this month. Now I don't feel September is a month of celebration. Hi:-) today I am going to talk about a topic that interests me a lot, fast fashion. Fast fashion is the phenomenon by which clothing collections are introduced that follow the latest trends and have been designed and manufactured in an accelerated way and at a low cost. With this, the industry offers the costumer the access new clothings at affordable prices and continuously. This trend has meant that the average use of a new garment is only seven times before being thrown away, and in the last 20 years there has been a 400% increase in the consumption of clothing on the planet.
